What does “Class I” mean?

“Product Class I” is the strictest of all four classes in the OEKO-TEX® certification process, testing products for children up to the age of three for harmful substances. The additional requirement for saliva-resistance means that colours and prints should not bleed or stain when babies suck on them.

Certification Scope

  • Bleaching, dyeing (disperse, cationic, reactive)
  • Finishing (softening, antibacterial, water repellent, oil repellent, stain repellent, soil release)
  • Use of OEKO-TEX® approved biologically active products

In essence, the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label means "textiles you can trust" because they've been verified as harmless to health through rigorous, independent testing.
