  • Outside Mounted: Measure the window frame width and height. Add 3-6 inches to the window frame width and 8-10 inches to the window frame height. Install on the frame, shade size could be the same or slightly smaller than the window size.
  • The aluminum headrail and rod is detachable and can be removed to clean the curtain. After washing, it is recommended to iron and level the assembly.

Measure Width and Length Correctly

Roman shades can be inside mounted or outside mounted.
Considering the window frame depth is the first step.
①Min. Inside Mount Depth Requires 2 3/8 inches
② Headrail Size: 1 3/8 inches H x 2 3/8 inches D
③ Valance height:　 Valance height when shade height is 18 inches and over = 6 inches　 Valance height when shade height is less than 18 inches = 4 inches
④ Bracket Size: 1 3/8 inches H x 1 7/8 inches D
⑤ Pointed Screw Length (for securing the bracket into the window frame): 1 3/8 inches
⑥ Flat Head Screw Length (for attaching the wing nut): 1 1/3 inches

Outside Mount

A taller appearance.Outside window frame. No minimum depth requirement.Please add 2 to 6 inches to the measured width of the sash to avoid light gaps.For height, add 5 to 8 inches to the measurement. By following this guidance, you can achieve optimal sizing for your satisfaction.
